Why Golf?

Experiences are our greatest teacher. First Tee believes in developing the ones that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids’ build self confidence, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities and events, community involvement, and college scholarships.

In-School Program

First Tee – Greater Charleston provides local educators at elementary and middle schools with training, age-appropriate equipment, and a golf curriculum that enhances social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. We reach thousands of children each year in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties, providing exposure to a sport that many have limited or no access to. School programming also serves as a gateway to other opportunities such as On-Course Program scholarships and free golf at local courses.
