Meet Our Summer Interns

June 4, 2025 | Program Update

Our busiest season has arrived! In addition to On-Course Core Golf & Life Skills at six locations, we reach hundreds of children through community partner organizations and our Pathfinder Summer Camp throughout June and July. Thankfully, we’ve drafted some of the best and brightest interns around to bring BIG energy to some very excited young people…

Donovan Maclin | Pathfinder Immersion Program Intern

Back by popular demand, Donovan can’t wait to build on the impact that he and his fellow coaches made last summer. Donovan grew up in Augusta, GA, and he’s a rising senior at Chicago State University where he plays on the Men’s Golf Team. He expects to graduate next May with a degree in Business Administration and Management concentration.

Larry Goss | Pathfinder Immersion Program Intern

Returning for his third summer, Larry is the most tenured intern in First Tee – Greater Charleston history! He’s a Charleston local and a rising senior at the College of Charleston where he’s studying Secondary Education and Sociology. He’s excited to dive into another fun summer, reconnecting with familiar faces and making friends with our newest program participants and interns.

Fun Fact: Larry loves sports, and he’s a big Seahawks fan.

“Starting the internship at freshly 19 and now being 21, it feels like I have grown up with the Pathfinders.. I want to help them as much as I can. First Tee isn’t just a job or an internship, to me it’s a family and a foundation to help change our society and help educate our youth. They have taught me to appreciate the little things in life while having fun with it all. Coach Johnson is like a mentor to me and seeing what he does inspires me to do the same. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this program and this community.”
